Holiday pay guidelines in the Philippines

Regular Holidays

  • If no work is performed: Staff are entitled to receive 100% of their daily wage.
  • If work is performed: Staff must be compensated with 200% of their daily wage for the first eight hours of work.
  • Overtime Pay: For work exceeding eight hours, staff are entitled to an additional 60% of their hourly rate on top of the holiday pay.

Special (Non-Working) Holidays allow for more flexible pay arrangements based on mutual agreements, while still adhering to labor standards:

  • If work is performed: Staff are typically granted an additional 30% of their daily wage for the first eight hours.
  • Overtime Pay: If work exceeds eight hours, staff must receive an additional 69% of their hourly rate, similar to regular holiday guidelines.

Case-by-Case Approach

We understand that every business has unique operational requirements. Deployed works closely with each client and their staff to determine suitable holiday pay arrangements on a case-by-case basis. This ensures fairness, compliance with Philippine labour laws, and mutual agreement between all parties involved.
