Where has the year gone? It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating Easter or as it is said here Pasko ng Pagkabuhay and now we are entering the last quarter of 2018.

As we move towards the tail-end of the year, it is now the perfect time for businesses to start planning and preparing for 2019 in order to start the year strong.

One of the biggest planning considerations most businesses make around this time of year involves future staffing requirements and whether they need to expand or not. While some businesses may focus on hiring local talent, many businesses are realising that outsourcing is potentially a far better option.

If you are in this boat, my advice to you is to get the ball rolling sooner rather than later. In my experience, early to mid-October is the perfect time to start planning to build an offshore team here in the Philippines.

By partnering with Deployed now, we will be in the best position to understand your business’ needs and then implement a full-scale, comprehensive recruitment campaign. I have seen it numerous times, where businesses and firms have been underprepared and started a campaign several weeks too late. While this does not necessarily mean you won’t find the talent your desire, it does make it hard. Typically, the later in the year you start a campaign, the harder it is to tap into the talent pool.

What we have discovered, this time of year is a prime time for candidates that are looking to move on from their current situations and find something different. Much like local employees, Filipino’s prefer to go through the holiday period with a certain level of stability around their professional life. Which means, the longer you wait to start a campaign the harder it will be to potentially attract someone from another business or beat out competing suitors.

Additionally, starting the process of building a remote now, or at least factoring it into your planning, will give you the best possible start to next year, as a result of being able to account for it in your first quarter budget and plans.

With this in place, you’ll be able to enjoy your holiday knowing you won’t have to factor in a recruitment drive at the start of the year, which is already a busy period.  Let us get the ball rolling for you on our side ready to start fresh after your holiday. Not only can we start campaigns now, but we can also have your new employees ready to start after the holiday period.

Taking it a step further, you may even be able to extend your Christmas holidays by a few weeks and pop over to visit your new team members for training.

From the successful candidates point-of-view, hiring them now allows them to get fully acquainted with their new role, your company and also the Deployed offices. It also ensures we are able to complete all onboarding and general HR tasks this side of the holidays. Meaning there is less downtime at the start of the year as a result of basic HR tasks, allowing them to jump straight into fulfilling their roles.

This time of year is typically a fairly crazy time-period. With everyone trying to meet tight deadlines while preparing for next year. If you are interested in tapping into the numerous benefits of outsourcing, I suggest you begin the process now.

Whether you are looking to hire someone now or start a campaign the first week of 2019, the best thing to do is get in touch. We’ll be able to take your business’ requirements and design a plan that will put you in the best position to find the candidate you desire.

Remember, now is the perfect time to get the ball rolling. We would love to have a chat, so do not hesitate to get in touch.
