The benefits of outsourcing to the Philippines have grabbed the attention of global technology giant and peer-to-peer driving service Uber.

Uber announced in mid-February its intentions to build a global customer service center in Manila that would become and be called the “Center of Excellence.” The office will bolster Uber’s customer service muscle and provide global support to facilitate the demand for drivers and rides.

“We have a dedicated, 24/7 customer support network that is growing rapidly as we invest in expanding world-class, efficient support for our global community of riders and drivers,” an Uber spokesperson told BuzzFeed News, adding that the company has “more U.S. and international facilities planned.”

Manila has already been home to some of Uber’s customer service operations since October 2014.
