How can businesses avoid the resourcing crunch?

It’s a pressing question in the current market and one that Deployed Founder and Managing Director, Geoff Baldwin and Client Relationship Manager, Alana Chong set about answering last week, as they lead a workshop, with NZ leaders in Auckland.

Helping business owners understand how to strategise through effective remote staffing solutions, the workshop honed in on the specifics of staying ahead of the curve.

What does outsourcing mean?

Firstly, it was important to break down the meaning of outsourcing. Over time the term’s meaning has become muddled, resulting in different meanings to different people.

Simply, outsourcing is a business practice in which a company hires another company or individual to perform tasks, handle operations or provide services that are either usually executed or had previously been done by the company’s own employees.

From this definition, a better understanding of the differences between project level outsourcing, function level outsourcing, and remote staffing and the benefits of these can be defined, and executed to help better how your business functions.

Competitive advantage

At the roundtable sessions, much discussion was had amongst business owners surrounding the competitive advantage to be gained with outsourcing, and staying ahead of the resourcing curve, rather than scrambling behind it.

Fundamentally, working alongside an outsourcing provider like Deployed allows for lower costs and improved efficiencies. Given these benefits, companies that outsource can make room for focusing their resources on core competencies, helping them gain competitive advantage in the market.

Strategy

At Deployed, our goal is to ensure your organisation is functioning the best it can be, with no opportunities missed. If your remote staffing strategy is executed well, there is an allowance for continual and monumental growth within a business.

That’s why we work alongside our clients to help them form a remote staffing strategy that works for them. Catered to your business needs and KPIs, every step of the way.

This workshop allowed Deployed to get in a room with several New Zealand leaders, some of whom already partner with Deployed, and take learnings from them, as much as they did from us.

Because outsourcing with Deployed is fundamentally a partnership, and knowing what helps businesses is what helps us deliver the very best in outsourcing solutions to our clients.
